Expect delays along Quentin Road in Palatine during water main replacement
Traffic delays are expected along a stretch of Quentin Road in Palatine as work gets underway to install a new water main.
The construction will take place between Medford Drive and Euclid Avenue and is expected to continue until July, depending on weather.
Quentin Road will be accessible, but at times there will be traffic delays due to construction activities. The northbound right lane of Quentin Road from north of Medford Drive to south of Euclid Avenue will be closed for the duration of the project. There will also be intermittent closures of the west connector streets (Partridge Drive, Sandpiper Court, Peregrine Drive and Lukas Avenue) on working days during business hours.
The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways plans to resurface the same section of Quentin Road in the near future. Palatine is replacing the water main in advance of the resurfacing and to address more frequent breaks that have been occurring.
