Palatine Garden Club hosts Perennial Plant Sale May 9 and 16

The Palatine Garden Club will host its Perennial Plant Sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, May 9 and 16, at the Palatine Farmers Market, 137 W. Wood St. at the Metra station parking lot.

Choose from a variety of perennial plants sourced from club members’ gardens and area native-plant nurseries.

Flowering and foliage plants, many varieties of pollinator-friendly native plants, ground covers, and ornamental grasses will be available.

Also this year, several varieties of milkweed — native plants that support and attract monarchs and other butterflies — will be sold, as well as Illinois prairie-garden starter flats. Cash or check only. Questions? Call Gail at (708) 744-3446 or visit facebook.com/palatinegardeners.

The Palatine Garden Club is an active local gardening organization known for its long-standing community involvement and educational outreach.

Established nearly 80 years ago, the club continues to promote gardening and beautification throughout the Palatine area.
