Memorial blood drive at Bartlett church celebrates the life of Michelle Kish
Living Lord Lutheran Church in Bartlett will host a community blood drive on Saturday, April 25, in honor of a cherished member of the congregation, Michelle Kish, who passed away in 2025 at age 28.
The Michelle Kish Memorial Blood Drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 1044 Congress Drive. It is open to the community.
Michelle Kish was born with a rare genetic disorder, creating a medically complex condition and physical challenges throughout her lifetime.
“Despite all her challenges, Michelle radiated joy, positivity, and strength, and she loved life,” said her mom, Mary Kish.
“This blood drive is in remembrance of her life and to honor her spirit,” added Sue Hoch, the event’s organizer.
Participants are invited to register in advance, but walk-ins are also welcome. Visit the church’s website, livinglordlutheran.org, to learn all the details. Donors are encouraged to eat a healthy meal, avoid caffeine, and drink plenty of water before donating. Donors must have a photo ID to participate.
“This meaningful event is a beautiful way for our congregation and community to come together and give the gift of life,” said the Rev. Kristian Johnson, Living Lord’s pastor.
