Hypocrites don’t understand negotiation
Future dictionaries should make Democrat the No. 1 meaning of the word hypocrite.
A day ago, they were calling for President Trump to be removed from office for war crimes because he said he would bomb Iran’s infrastructure and essentially destroy the country if Iran failed to open the Strait of Hormuz and give up whatever remained of their enriched uranium. Later that same day, Trump announced that Iran had agreed to a cease-fire, the U.S. and Israel would halt bombing Iran and negotiations to end the conflict would begin. Democrats in Congress and their minions in the media, who had railed against Trump and called for his removal from office for threatening Iran, now began calling him TACO — Trump Always Chickens Out.
To say their messaging is mixed and incredibly hypocritical would be an understatement. Which do you prefer Democrats, removal for threatening Iran, or condemnation for not carrying out the threats that so enraged you? Apparently, that very confused party has no clue about the art of negotiation.
Trump threatened to destroy Iran’s infrastructure, seriously ramping up the pressure on whoever is currently in charge of Iran these days. And what do you know, Iran asked for a cease-fire, agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and hopefully, negotiations to end the conflict will begin.
After Iran proxy Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, there was concern that Iran and its proxies were poised to attack Israel. I’m sure Joe Biden had the Iranians quaking when he issued his powerful statement, “Don’t.”
I get the feeling that Iranians are very much inclined to believe that Trump means what he says.
