Redeemer Church in Aurora holds annual Easter egg hunt with prizes
Filling bags and buckets, more than 100 adults and children scooped up Easter eggs during a hunt on the morning of Saturday, April 4, in Aurora.
Redeemer Community Church held the annual free event on the south church lawn with thousands of eggs and prizes.
Pastor Matt Mull emceed the event. After another pastor recounted the biblical Easter story in the sanctuary, children were sent out to the lawn by three age groups, infant to kindergarten, grades 1-5, and an all-ages scramble which concluded the event.
Some eggs contained tickets redeemable for prizes. They included basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, $10 restaurant gift cards, fun-shaped kites, bubble sets, craft kits, sidewalk chalk, children's bibles and story books and indoor/outdoor games.
