One person, two pets rescued from burning Barrington home
One person was transported to a hospital after being rescued from a burning house in Barrington Tuesday morning, while firefighters also saved two pets.
The Barrington Fire Department was called to the 300 block of Russell Street at 2:37 a.m.
Crews found a single-story home engulfed in heavy smoke and fire.
Firefighters, working alongside Barrington police, quickly confirmed a resident was trapped inside the single-story home, and entered through a window, rescuing the resident.
The resident was taken to a hospital for evaluation, while a second resident was evaluated at the scene.
Firefighters also rescued two pets.
No damage estimate was available. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
