Takeout-focused Buffalo Wild Wings GO to open in Lake Zurich
Buffalo Wild Wings GO will be opening its first Lake Zurich location Thursday with a promotion promising free wings for a year.
The store at 840 W. Route 22 in the North Lake Commons shopping center will be the seventh location for Nilesh Patel of Zurich Wings LLC. He also operates GO stores in Elgin, St. Charles, Huntley, Woodstock, Palatine and Aurora.
Buffalo Wild Wings GO is a takeout and delivery-focused spinoff of traditional Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants. They are smaller at 900 square feet to 1,600 square feet, and designed for quick service with minimal seating.
The locations have heated lockers for in-store pickup and serve a limited menu, including traditional and boneless wings, chicken dippers, sandwiches, wraps and sides with a wide selection of sauces and dry rubs.
“As guest habits continue to shift toward convenience and digital ordering, this location allows us to meet that demand while maintaining delicious food consistency people expect from the brand,” Patel said in a news release announcing the opening.
Hours in Lake Zurich are daily from 10:30 a.m. to midnight. Visit buffalowildwings.com/bww-go.
To celebrate the opening, the first 50 guests in line aged 18 and older will receive free wings for a year, which is the equivalent to six free wings per week for 52 weeks.
All other guests who visit on opening day will receive a voucher for $5 off any order of $25 or more redeemable through June 30.
The restaurant also is recruiting about 15 team members with opportunities across front and back-of-house roles.
Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 and is described as the largest sports bar brand in the U.S. with more than 1,300 restaurants in nine global markets. It and Buffalo Wild Wings GO are part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants.
