President owes apology for missile tragedy

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr recently warned public broadcasters that their licenses could possibly not be renewed for broadcasting news distortions and hoaxes, in other words, fake news. Carr is another sycophant of Donald Trump. He made these statements after Trump had issued a rant against news providers online. The hypocrisy of Carr's statements is mind boggling. Trump complains about fake news, yet he has been spreading lies and conspiracy theories for many years.

Trump pushed the birther lie for years that Barack Obama was born outside the United States. Trump said he would build a wall along the United States southern border and that Mexico would pay for it. Trump has lied, cried and whined for five years about the results of the 2020 election. Trump has lied that the vast percentage of tariffs on U.S. imports are paid by the exporting countries. Trump has repeatedly promised a great national health plan going back over a decade to his campaign for his first term.

The biggest purveyor of fake news is Donald Trump. Responsible broadcasters and newspapers can commit errors. I have seen television broadcasts where they admit an error and apologize. I have seen corrections to stories published in print media.

I have seen baseball caps that have printed on them that Trump was right about everything. That is not only a lie, but it is an admission of weakness. Trump is so weak that he as Commander in Chief will not apologize for the killing of 150 or more children and teachers from a missile strike on a school in Iran. It was a terrible tragic error. Trump doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to acknowledge that the United States is responsible. Trump started the Iran war. He should authorize reparations to the families of those killed in the attack on the school.
