Bensenville hires first female deputy police chief

Bensenville has promoted a sergeant within the police department to become the village’s first female deputy police chief.

Juliann Wilson was sworn in on March 24.

Wilson has been a sergeant since 2010 and has worked for the Bensenville Police Department for two decades.

As a deputy police chief, she will oversee the operations division, including planning, budgeting, staff supervision and setting policies.
