Poor word choice
Reading the March 24 article on the resignation of Hersey High School wrestling coach Joe Rupslauk, I found the choice of words in the final sentence quite disappointing. In it the writer stated that district officials demoted three administrators at Hersey to teaching positions.
In my 37 years of teaching, I found that teachers were the driving force of schools connecting every day with students and parents. Perhaps the final sentence should have read that administrators were elevated, not demoted, to teaching positions.
