Chicago man arrested for possession of stolen firearm after Palatine traffic stop

A Chicago man was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender after a traffic stop in Palatine Wednesday.

Domingo A. Molina, 44, was denied pretrial release until his next court appearance April 20 in Rolling Meadows.

Palatine police stopped the gray Mazda sedan Molina was driving with a passenger inside at 12:39 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Baldwin and Dundee roads.

A search of the vehicle recovered a loaded .38 caliber revolver that was later confirmed to be stolen, police said.
