Fox Valley Orchestra and Chamber Singers will perform Handel’s ‘Messiah: The Passion’

Enter the Easter season with renewed focus as the Fox Valley Orchestra and Fox Chamber Singers will present Handel's “Messiah: The Passion.”

This event features parts 2 and 3 of the “Messiah” which focus on the Easter story.

The performance will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in the acoustically beautiful Marmion Abbey, 850 Butterfield Road in Aurora. This is a fundraiser for the various community orchestra and chorus programs in the area supported by the Fox Valley Music Consortium.

The professional voices from the Fox Chamber Singers, directed by Lisa Fredenburgh, will perform the solo and chorus portions and together with the Fox Valley Orchestra present this wonderful portion of the “Messiah” to you.

Maestro Stephen Squires, music director of the Fox Valley Orchestra, will lead the performance.

Tickets are $13 online or $15 at the door. Come early as it is general admission seating only. More information can be found at foxvalleyorchestra.org/messiahpassion.php

All proceeds benefit the multiple youth and adult orchestra and chorus programs supported by the Fox Valley Music Consortium. The Fox Valley Music Consortium is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
