Police: No threat to public as officers investigate in Palatine
Although residents in the area around Rand Road and Ports O’Call Drive in Palatine may have noticed an increased police presence during the early hours of the morning Saturday, police said there is no known threat to the public.
According to a news release from the Palatine Police Department, they, with assistance from the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System conducted activity in the area as part of an ongoing investigation.
This activity involved only local and regional law enforcement resources, according to the news release. There are no ongoing safety concerns. More information will be released if appropriate, police said.
