Volunteers sought for Lake Ellyn cleanup

The Glen Ellyn Park District is recruiting volunteers to help remove debris from Lake Ellyn's shoreline as part of the spring DuPage River Sweep.

Volunteers also will help clean up debris from the park grounds around the neighborhood lake during the family-friendly event, from 9 a.m. to noon April 18.

Participants are encouraged to bring rubber boots or hip waders. The park district will provide all other supplies, including gloves and bags.
