Roundabout construction at CLC begins April 1

The Washington Street entrance to the College of Lake County Grayslake Campus will be closed April 1 to June 30 for road construction to create a roundabout on Lancer Lane.

The roundabout will enhance the traffic flow along Lancer Lane and improve the shared access points of CLC, the University Center of Lake County and the Lake County Tech Campus. It will also allow access into CLC’s future Outdoor Sports Complex which will be under construction beginning April 1 through January, 2027.

Traffic changes during construction

To access CLC’s Grayslake Campus and Lake County Tech Campus, all traffic must enter from Brae Loch Road. To access Brae Loch Road, use alternate routes: Atkinson Road from the west or Route 45 from the east.

The Washington Street entrance will be open only for access to the University Center of Lake County. University Center Drive will be closed. The sidewalk along Lancer Lane connecting the University Center and the CLC Grayslake Campus will remain open to pedestrians.

All parking lots will be open, however, Lots 8 and 9 will be partially closed. Signage will mark any changes in parking for daily use and special events.

With restricted access to campus, extra time and patience will be required to access campus entry points and parking. Information about potential impacts to Pace bus service is coming soon.
