Lake County Honor Flight schedules tribute flights for veterans

Lake County Honor Flight expeditions this year will take place May 1-3, Aug. 7-9, and Oct. 2-4.

Honor Flight transports veterans who served during the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War eras on an all-expense-paid trip to Washington D.C. to visit memorials built to honor their service and sacrifice.

Businesses, civic groups and individuals can sponsor a veteran to take his or her tribute Honor Flight. A tax-deductible contribution of $1,500 covers all expenses for one veteran. Visit lakecountyhonorflight.org or call (847) 282-0374.
