Beach Boys ride the endless wave to Aurora’s RiverEdge Park this summer

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, for The Beach Boys’ Aug. 14 concert at Aurora’s RiverEdge Park.

The concert coincides with the 65th anniversary of the band, founded by brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. Their sunny, surf-inspired pop, close harmonies and innovative production techniques on such hits as “Surfin’ USA,” “Fun, Fun Fun,” “Barbara Ann” and “Good Vibrations” earned countless fans and inspired countless musicians.

The tour also marks the 50th anniversary of “Pet Sounds,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ seminal record, described by some critics as the original concept album.

The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at 360 N. Broadway, Aurora. General admission tickets are $57 and are available at riveredgeaurora.com, (630) 896-6666 or at the satellite box office at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora.
