Hypocrisy on criminal sexual behavior

On March 4, U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace introduced a resolution whose sole aim was to force the House Ethics Committee to make public all reports and records related to investigations into sexual harassment or misconduct by members of Congress or their staff.

It is documented that millions of taxpayer dollars have been spent to settle, buy off and silence these sexual abuse victims.

The floor vote was defeated 357-65, including a “No” vote from our own Rep. Brad Schneider of the 10th District of Illinois.

So, we have elected officials that have been screaming for the release and full transparency of the Epstein files, but these same people refuse to release their own files? This isn’t just complete hypocrisy, it is covering up criminal behavior of members of Congress and their staff.

Perhaps Rep. Brad Schneider can answer what should be the simplest of questions. Why vote “No” on a transparency bill that exposes criminal activity in your own House?

Consider this voter thoroughly disgusted by the 357 people who voted no, including my Rep. Brad Schneider.
