Editorial too late and misses the point
Regarding the Sunday editorial “The stakes we face”: Editorializing about Congress’ abdication of its power to make war (or not) is a day late and a dollar short.
There’s been no congressional declaration of war since World War II. Instead, your critical eye should focus on those politicians who betray the country in their obvious hope that failure and misery follow President Trump’s effort to rid the world of a regime that wished death on us for almost 50 years.
You should be writing about the importance of supporting our troops who are in harm’s way, and about your hope that our beloved USA soon prevails against the enemy at hand.
