Elgin Township hosts small business workshop

Elgin Township is hosting a business education workshop on “How to Start/Run Small Home-based Business” on Saturday, March 28.

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level at Elgin Township office, 729 S. McLean Blvd. in Elgin.

If you’re looking at creating a small, home-based business, this is a must for you! Experts will share with you how to best organize, finance, and start your operation.

Topics covered include types of businesses (Limited Liability Company, sole proprietorship, partnerships), business plans, finances, financial statements, and sales/marketing.

Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. To sign up, call (847) 741-2045. Admission is $25 for Elgin Township residents and $50 for nonresidents. Lunch is sponsored by Elgin State Bank.
