Fire damages Lombard home

No one was injured during a Tuesday night house fire in Lombard.

The Lombard Fire Department responded at approximately 7:25 p.m. March 3 to a house on the 2S100 block of Lloyd Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they saw flames visible on the exterior of the home and heavy smoke coming from the roof. Search crews found an adult male inside the house and safely removed him. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes, officials said.

Authorities said that fire damage was limited to the area of origin and a portion of the attic. The Lombard Fire Investigation Unit is working to determine the cause of the fire.
