Lou Malnati’s to join lineup of restaurants slated for Fox Haven Square in St. Charles

Add Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria to the growing lineup of restaurants planned for the new Fox Haven Square development in St. Charles.

The renowned pizza chain announced Thursday that it has signed a lease in the new shopping and entertainment development on the corner of Kirk Road and East Main Street and anticipates opening in the fall.

The move is pending final approvals from the city.

The 6,200-square-foot, full-service restaurant and bar will occupy the former On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina space in an outlot of the development.

Plans for the space at 3050 E. Main St. include a main dining room and full-service bar as well as a private dining space and outdoor patio. It will be the 61st location in the Chicago area.

“We've had customers from St. Charles asking us to open a location here for years,” Julie Younglove-Webb, CEO of Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, said in a press release. “The growth and redevelopment happening on the east end of the city makes this the perfect time, and we can't wait to bring people together over deep dish in this community with a full-service restaurant.”

The new 70,000-square-foot development on the city’s east side will showcase hospitality, entertainment, fitness, shopping and more.

Other eateries planned for the area include Fire + Wine, Rosebud Steakhouse, Simple EJ’s Kitchen and Tap, Smashburger, Swank Coffee & Wine Lounge and taqueria and tequila bar Taco Mucho.

The $22 million development is scheduled to open this spring.
