Politicians and war
USAF '67 to '71. In addition to my regular job, for about a year I did extra duty on the Honor Guard. Our duty? To bury those who were returned to our area.
One thing I noticed at those funerals, and at my regular job, was that I never saw any politician, much less a politician who supported Vietnam, serving. Included in that number was any of their children.
So again we have politicians clamoring to support our invasion of Iran, but their talk is cheap. How many of these politicians have ever attended the funeral of someone who has died in their war?
Want to support our attacks on Iran? Start sending your children or relatives.
As been said before. “Soldiers are our most valuable resource.”
