Lake Zurich School District 95 Hires New Assistant Superintendent

Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95 has announced the hiring of Dr. Tasia Fields as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation, approved at the Feb. 19 Board of Education meeting. Dr. Fields will be taking on the duties of Angela Stallion, who will be retiring at the end of the school year after six years of outstanding service to the district.

Dr. Fields has served as an elementary teacher, K-12 Coordinator of Instructional Technology, Elementary Assistant Principal, K-8 Literacy and Social Studies Coordinator, and most recently as the Director of Student Access and Achievement at Waukegan Public Schools. She holds her doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Organizational Leadership from University of Illinois and also serves as an adjunct instructor at College of Lake County.

As a passionate educator, Fields said “I am grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation. Guided by the district’s strategic priorities, my focus will be on aligning curriculum, instruction and innovation to drive student achievement, support educator growth, and promote continuous improvement across all schools.”

“In Dr. Fields, we have found an extraordinary leader; a visionary whose career is defined by systemic innovation and excellence,” Superintendent Kelley Gallt said. “With a doctorate from University of Illinois in educational policy, an Illinois 2025 Those Who Excel Administrator Award of Meritorious Service, and a proven history of transforming technology and curriculum, she is uniquely prepared to navigate our schools during a rapidly shifting and dynamic time in education.”

Dr. Fields will join the district in her new role on June 1.
