Venezuela and Trump’s hunger for peace prize

Venezuela has a legitimately elected president named Machado who, unfortunately for her it seems, won the Nobel Peace Prize last year. This seemed to have caused Trump great consternation, since he felt she should have not have accepted but instead turn the prize over to him.

Now that Maduro has been abducted, Trump does not want to allow Machado to take up her duly-elected position as President of Venezuela, claiming she does not have the support of the Venezuelan people,

in spite of winning the election over Maduro and his VP Rodriquez. How pathetic that we have a president who would keep Maduro’s VP in power instead of allowing Machado her duly elected position as president of Venezuela because he feels he should have won the peace prize.

So much for our country supporting democratic regimes; seems we’re being run by a petulant 79-year-old child who proves he certainly does not merit a peace prize.
