The ridiculous election promises

This time of year with midterm elections in the offing, I guess the campaign promises are the most enjoyable.

One candidate wants minimum wage to be $25 an hour. Sounds great. The candidate will be able to raise a family on that amount. Employees would earn about $50,000 annually. However, the small business they work for will have to let people go because expenses will outpace income. Result? The business will have to close putting all their employees on the street.

Another: A free lunch program for all students. This was attempted before. What happened? Kids didn’t go for carrot sticks and celery stalks for lunch. Tons of food will only feed the dumpsters.

They all want ICE eliminated. Just let anyone and everybody enter the country. The above was only a glimpse of all the rhetoric we have to listen to. No one ever tells us just how are they going to implement all these pie-in-the-sky plans.

Listen to all the hyperbole then sit back and ask yourself just how these pipe dreams can be reality. You will answer your own question when you really think about these promises.
