Woman found dead outside Elk Grove Village hotel

Elk Grove Village police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered early Wednesday morning outside a local hotel.

According to police, officers and fire department personnel responded to the business in the 2400 block of Landmeier Road at 4:18 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an unresponsive person.

Officers arrived to find a deceased adult female outside an address listed as the InTown Suites Extended Stay Chicago hotel, authorities said.

The Elk Grove Village Police Department Investigations Section and Major Crimes Assistance Team is investigating, officials said. Preliminary information indicates that the death is an isolated event and there is no known threat to the community, police said.

The woman’s identity has not been released. The Cook County medical examiner is scheduled to conduct an autopsy today.
