Libertyville, Rolling Meadows attorneys among ‘Top 50 Super Lawyers’ in Illinois

Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard partners Tara Devine and Jennifer Ashley recently were named among the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Illinois, as well as the Top 100 overall Super Lawyers in Illinois.

Each year, no more than 5% of Illinois lawyers are named to the Super Lawyers list. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.

Devine joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2004 and became the firm’s first female partner in 2011. In 2018, Devine was promoted to managing partner of the firm’s Lake County office. Her practice is focused on personal injury, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, medical malpractice and product liability cases. She has recovered more than $325 million on behalf of her clients since starting at the firm and is licensed and practices in Illinois and Wisconsin, according to a news release.

In 2017, Devine was part of the trial team that obtained a $148 million jury verdict on behalf of a dancer paralyzed by a collapsed pedestrian shelter at O’Hare International Airport — the highest compensatory verdict awarded to a plaintiff in Illinois history.

Ashley joined Salvi, Schostok & Prichard P.C. in 2012 and was named partner in 2014. Her practice focuses on personal injury and wrongful death law, including cases that involve car accidents, premises liability and products liability. She has secured more than $70 million on behalf of her injured clients.

Ashley served eight years on the board of the Lake County Bar Foundation and then became a director of the Lake County Bar Association.
