Carol Stream man charged with possession of child sex abuse material

A Carol Stream man has been charged with 14 felony counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, according to the Illinois attorney general’s office.

Steven A. Migliorato Jr., 37, of the 1100 block of Lightning Trail, was arrested Wednesday after the material was found in his home during a search by investigators from the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with officers from the Carol Stream Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department’s electronic detection K-9.

Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s office is prosecuting the case with the DuPage County State’s Attorney.

Migliorato faces up to seven years in prison for each count. His next court date is scheduled for March 16.
