District 64 schools to get new principals

The Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 board meets Thursday to approve the hiring of new principals at Franklin Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary schools. Both schools are in Park Ridge.

Current Franklin Elementary Principal Kristin Williams is taking a job in Glen Ellyn District 41. Current Roosevelt Elementary Principal Kevin Dwyer is moving up to a districtwide position in District 64.

Bob Guercio will step in at Franklin, while Meghan Duffy will lead Roosevelt’s staff.

The new principals will begin in those roles July 1, district officials said.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at Field School, 707 N. Wisner St., Park Ridge.
