Day care worker accused of giving laxatives to kids
A worker at a day care business in St. Charles has been accused of giving laxatives to toddlers without their parents’ permission.
Yizel J. Juarez, 23, of Sycamore, has been charged with misdemeanor attempted aggravated battery and misdemeanor endangering the life or health of a child, according to St. Charles police.
On Tuesday morning, several parents told police that a teacher at the unnamed business had given laxatives to three children. The children are 2 years old and younger.
Juarez turned herself in to the police, was processed on the charges and released.
Police did not name the day care business, but said it is in the 2400 block of West Main Street.
