Aurora’s Wesley UMC hosts ‘Lifting Voices’ singing series

Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St. in Aurora, is hosting a four-part Wednesday “Lifting Voices” series.

From 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 4-25, area singers are invited to vocalize for justice and liberation.

Series organizer Thew Elliott, Wesley director of liturgy and music, will lead. He noted, “No special skills or materials required. We lift each other. We learn together.”

The series in the church sanctuary is patterned after groups of singers in Minneapolis who sing in resistance work.
