One person killed in rollover on Tri-State Tollway in Des Plaines

One person was killed in a crash on the Tri-State Tollway in Des Plaines on Wednesday evening.

Illinois State Police say the two-vehicle rollover crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-294 near Golf Road.

The left three lanes of the northbound interstate are closed. Those planning to travel that way should expect delays and seek an alternative route if possible.

The cause is still being investigated.
