League hosts forum for Republican primary hopefuls for 11th Congressional District

Voters from the 11th Congressional District are invited to attend an online forum at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, featuring the Republican candidates for Illinois’ 11th Congressional seat.

It is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Naperville. All candidates have been invited.

The candidates for the Republican primary include: Tedora M. Brown of Palos Park (appeal pending on the Illinois State Board of Election Jan. 8 decision to remove her name from the ballot), Charlie Kim of Aurora, Michael Pierce of Naperville, and Jeff Walter of Elburn.

The district includes portions of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, Will, DeKalb and Boone counties. Incumbent U.S. Rep. Bill Foster of Naperville is running unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

Unlike a debate, a forum involves a neutral, trained moderator from outside the district who presents questions to candidates for their live responses.

The public forum is free, but guests must register in advance via rebrand.ly/11thcongress-forum for this Zoom forum. Following registration, guests can save event information to their digital calendar.

The forum will be recorded and available online afterward at youtube.com/@lwvofnaperville.

The primary election will be Tuesday, March 17.
