Police seek help finding missing Palatine girl, 14

Palatine Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 14-year-old girl last seen Jan. 23.

Anilegna “Anni” Venegas was walking when she left her home on the 1200 block of East Wyndham Court about 9:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Palatine Police Department.

She’s described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 120 pounds with black hair and brown eyes; she has a double nose piercing. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, pink shirt, pink pants, and brown boots.

It’s unknown which direction she went and it’s believed she may have been picked up in a car.

Anilegna’s family and friends haven’t heard from her since she was last seen, which they say is not usual

Before her disappearance, Anilegna told a friend she was traveling to Michigan with someone and would be back by Jan. 26.

Anyone with information regarding Anilegna’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Palatine Police Department at (847) 359-9000 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at (800) THE-LOST (800) 843-5678.
