Gowns For Good to host wedding, prom dress sales

Gowns For Good, an organization dedicated to making formalwear accessible while giving back to the community, will host upcoming events for brides-to-be and high schoolers getting ready for prom.

A wedding gown sale will take place Friday, Jan. 30, to Sunday, Feb. 1, at The Haight in Elgin, followed by a prom dress sale at Hampshire High School Feb. 7. Both will feature a wide selection of dresses in various sizes and styles at deeply discounted prices. Proceeds from the wedding gown sale will support women-focused charities in the Elgin area, while the prom dress sale will benefit the Hampshire High School Female Empowerment Club.
