St. Charles church offers Ash Wednesday observance at Pollyanna Brewery

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, Bethany Covenant Church will offer an Ash Wednesday observance from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pollyanna Brewery at 106 S. Riverside Ave. in St. Charles.

A self-guided tour through an interactive series of stations, this contemplative format is designed to guide attendees through a process of reflection, repentance and prayer.

A pastor will be available to make the sign of the cross in ashes and to pray a blessing over any who wish them to do so at the conclusion of this estimated 20-minute silent experience.

“There is something powerful about encountering God in silence and prayer,” said Pastor Laura Tarro. “This is an opportunity to slow down and listen to God and to hear God’s heart of love and forgiveness for you.”

Everyone is welcome. Sunday worship is at 9:30 a.m. at Pollyanna or the services are available on the church YouTube channel.
