No injuries in Naperville house fire that caused $100K damage
No one was injured Thursday in a fire that caused over $100,000 damage to a house in Naperville.
According to the Naperville Fire Department, firefighters responded at 11:39 a.m. to the 1800 block of Paxton Drive for a report of an exterior fire at a single-family residence that may have started in a garbage container next to the home.
Firefighters found the exterior of the house actively burning with flames extending into the attic. The home’s only occupant had already evacuated.
The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
The residence was deemed uninhabitable, and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
