Glen Ellyn District 41 names new Hadley principal

The Glen Ellyn Elementary District 41 school board has hired Rebecca Gabrenya as the next principal of Hadley Junior High School.

Gabrenya currently serves as principal at Kenyon Woods Middle School in Elgin Area School District U-46. Before that, she was principal of Marquardt Middle School in Glendale Heights. She will succeed retiring Hadley Principal Steve Diveley.

“I am truly honored to join Glen Ellyn School District 41 and the Hadley Junior High School community,” Gabrenya said in an announcement. “Hadley has a strong reputation for academic excellence and student support, and I am excited to partner with staff, students, and families to continue building a welcoming, engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.”

She officially assumes the role July 1.

Gabrenya holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University, two master’s degrees from Benedictine University and a doctorate in leadership in educational administration and superintendency from Aurora University.
