Science & Arts Academy to host ‘SAA DAY’ on Saturday, Jan. 31
Science & Arts Academy, an independent school for gifted students in Des Plaines, will host SAA DAY from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, inviting prospective students and their families to experience the school in action.
Designed especially for families exploring educational options for bright and gifted learners, SAA DAY offers a distinctive alternative to a traditional open house. Rather than simply touring the campus, prospective students are invited to “be an SAA student for the day” by participating in live, interactive, grade-specific classes led by the school’s expert faculty.
While students engage in hands-on learning experiences, parents will have the opportunity to observe classes, explore the campus, and learn more about SAA’s approach to educating gifted children in a supportive and engaging environment.
“We truly love welcoming prospective families onto our campus and giving them the chance to experience our community firsthand,” said Mindy Hildebrandt, director of enrollment at Science & Arts Academy. “SAA DAY allows students and parents to see what learning looks like here every day — curious, joyful, and deeply engaging — and to understand how gifted children thrive in an environment designed specifically for them.”
Science & Arts Academy serves gifted students in junior kindergarten through eighth grade, through a curriculum that emphasizes intellectual challenge, creativity and social-emotional growth, fostering a love of learning and a strong sense of community.
Families who are interested in learning more about how gifted children thrive at Science & Arts Academy are invited to register for this, or other public events, on the school’s website, at scienceandartsacademy.org/learn-more.
