Top dogs compete in show at Lake County Fairgrounds

The Lake County Fairgrounds was filled with man’s best friends and their owners as they vied for top honors at the Cool Cluster Dog Show this frigid Saturday in January.

More than 900 dogs were entered in the show this weekend.

Owners invest many hours a week training, nurturing, and caring for their dogs, building a foundation of trust essential for their safety and success.

The dog show continues from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake. Admission is free, but there is a fairground parking fee.

The event is hosted by the Chain O’ Lakes Kennel Club which has operated in Lake County for more than 50 years and is one of the oldest kennel clubs in the country.
