Cautionary tale
I read the Jan. 11 Daily Herald news story “Suburban child care providers face funding uncertainties,” which is interesting but raises a few questions.
Because of CCAP cuts, will parents have to pay more for child care? Or will child care providers have to pay more? Will only low-income people be affected? Or middle-class people as well?
Years ago, my wife and I (both working) had to find a child care solution (two kids) and dealt with the issue successfully without seeking help from the government. The Daily Herald news story also made me think of child care fraud now being investigated in Minneapolis. A cautionary tale.
