Let’s go back to being law-abiding country
While I understand why some people feel the force used by ICE is excessive at times, I can’t help but wonder why these same people weren’t as angry when the previous administration blatantly allowed all these illegal immigrants to just keep entering our country while we have so many citizens in need of the money we seem to have no trouble using to support the illegal immigrants.
Why do so many people feel it’s an option to obey some laws and become enraged when our immigration laws are being enforced? In what other country in the world is there the same lax law enforcement of immigration as some people want to suddenly allow here? Why don’t these people “put their money where their mouths are” and offer to feed, clothe, medically support and house their guests so those costs aren’t passed on to the taxpayers who favor legal control on immigration?
Maybe then I could overlook that they are still breaking the law. Since when has it become OK to decide whether you want to obey or disobey the law?
While I hate seeing anyone being killed, I am appalled to see citizens who actually think it is all right to purposely and needlessly jeopardize the lives of our brave law enforcement officers. They not only have to worry about criminals killing them, but now ordinary citizens seem to feel it’s OK to try to kill them with cars, rocks, Molotov cocktails, etc.
Have we all forgotten how dangerous their jobs are already? Most of them have wives, children, parents and siblings who will be devastated if they are killed in the line of duty. Let’s end this nonsense and go back to being the law-abiding country we once were.
