Congressman produces results

The GOP’s not-very-practical plan for health insurance is “don’t get sick.” Congressman Brad Schneider takes a different and much more practical approach. He has been a leader on extending the Affordable Care Act premium tax credits for three additional years. He cares about protecting families from sudden and devastating cost increases. This extension provides critical breathing room while Congress works toward real, bipartisan solutions to strengthen our health care system.

I was stunned to read a recent letter to the editor suggesting it was time to replace Congressman Schneider with an untested Democrat. That is exactly what Republicans are hoping for. Congressman Schneider has been a steady, effective leader with real experience.

Through his work on major House committees and caucuses, he has delivered effective results for our district. As Chair of the New Democrat Coalition, he leads 124 House members in developing and advancing practical legislation for American families. The success of leaders like him will help determine who controls the House in November.

We must vote for Congressman Brad Schneider in the March primary and again in the November general election.
