Gowns for Good offers affordable bridal and prom dresses while supporting the community
Gowns for Good, dedicated to making formalwear accessible while giving back to the community, is hosting two events this winter: a Wedding Gown Sale at The Haight in Elgin, followed by a Prom Dress Sale at Hampshire High School.
From Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, engaged couples are invited to shop the Gowns for Good Wedding Gown Sale, featuring a wide selection of beautiful wedding dresses at deeply discounted prices. Shoppers will find designer and boutique gowns in a variety of sizes and styles, all available at a fraction of traditional bridal salon prices.
Sign up for a time slot from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at The Haight, 166 Symphony Way in downtown Elgin. Children, including babies are not allowed.
Proceeds from the sale directly support Gowns for Good’s mission to provide funds to women serving charities in the Elgin area.
On Saturday, Feb. 7, Gowns for Good will bring its mission to Hampshire High School with a Prom Dress Sale designed to ensure every student can attend prom feeling confident and celebrated.
The event will offer affordable prom dresses to students, removing financial barriers and promoting inclusivity for one of the most memorable nights of the school year. Funds raised are being donated to the Hampshire High School Female Empowerment Club.
Over 500 gowns available sizes 0-24 available. Reminders: Bring a pair of heels and your shapewear. Children, including babies are not allowed.
Time slots are offered from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hampshire High School 1600 Big Timber Road. Sign up from the prom sale via eventbrite.com.
Prices are $10 to $200; cash, and credit accepted for payment. A portion of sales is being donated to the Hampshire High School Female Empowerment Club and The Prom Red Carpet event.
