Two semi trucks catch fire in East Dundee Wednesday night
Several semi trucks were damaged in a fire Thursday night in East Dundee.
East Dundee Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Joe Schwab said firefighters responded to Hoffman Estates Truck Parking at 1200 E. Main St. at about 11 p.m. Wednesday to find two semis on fire.
It took firefighters from East Dundee and three neighboring districts about 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which also caused some damage to a third nearby truck. There were no injuries.
The vehicles were parked and did not have trailers attached. Schwab said the cause of the fire is under investigation, but they suspect a mechanical malfunction.
