Batavia man faces child porn charges

A Batavia man has been accused of committing child sex abuse material crimes.

Enrique L. Gonzalez, 26, of the 0-100 block of Spuhler Drive, is charged with disseminating child pornography and possession of child pornography, according to Batavia police.

On Nov. 28, Chicago police notified Batavia police of a tip that someone in Batavia was using the Kik messaging app to disseminate the materials. Batavia police say they determined the account belonged to Gonzalez.

Kane County jail records indicate Gonzalez was admitted to the jail Friday. His next court date is Jan. 21.
