Schaumburg Township assessor’s office open for tax appeals through Feb. 3

Schaumburg Township residents can appeal their Cook County property taxes at the township through Feb. 3.

The township is open during the appeals period to assist residents from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

One option is for residents to email appeals@schaumburgtownship.org their home pin number, phone number, email and home address. No visit to the office is required. Emails must be received by 4 p.m. on Feb. 3.

They may also bring the necessary documentation to the township during business hours.

The township can assist with residential property tax appeals for townhouses and single-family homes, but cannot process condo, apartment or commercial property appeals.

Residents with questions about exemptions and other assessor’s office responsibilities are encouraged to visit or call the office after Feb. 3 to avoid long wait times.

Any questions can be directed to the assessor’s office at (847) 285-4569. Additional information can be found at schaumburgtownship.org/departments/assessors-office/.
