Keys to Home event focused on making housing more affordable in Lake County

How to advocate for make housing more affordable in Lake County is the topic for Keys to Home, a community event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 10 at the College of Lake County’s Lakeshore campus, 34 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan.

The event is open to all. No expertise needed.

Keynote speaker Jawanza Malone, executive director of the Wieboldt Foundation, will share insights on how communities can organize for real change. Her address will be followed by breakout sessions designed to give advocates practical tools to advance affordable housing in their communities.
