Thank you, hourly workers

I am writing to recognize and express my appreciation to the hourly workers of America.

These are the people who build America, our homes, our offices, our highways and bridges and our infrastructure. These are the people who grow, harvest, prepare and serve our food. These are the people who make things that make our lives easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable.

These are the people who bring electricity, gas and clean water to our homes and make certain our sewage is properly treated. These are the people who protect us and help keep us healthy. These are the people who make and service our automobiles, our trains, our buses and our tractors.

Yes, America, these are the people who keep America running. They give a full day of hard and honest labor for an hourly wage that is often less than the contribution given. They go unrecognized and are too often looked down upon by the salaried people. And yet we depend upon these our neighbors, and I for one applaud them and thank them.
